What Are You Truly Living For?

Again, with everything going on in the world, your degree wouldn't matter, the house you live in wouldn't matter, the sophisticated clothes you have wouldn't matter.

What will matter is did you truly live the life you are called to live? Your purpose.

In the Parable of the Talent, a certain man buried the talent that his master gave him. He thought he could keep the talent for the master until he returned.

He was rebuked upon the master's arrival while the other servants who multiplied their talents were rewarded.

It's a short story that awakens my consciousness every day I wake.

When I haven't posted articles or a post on social media for a while, I keep asking myself, "what's my excuse?"

I can have a busy life, schedule etc. But in the end, will I be happy that I didn't get to write this article or make that post even if no one reads it?

The truth is, it doesn't matter if anyone recognizes my talent, reads this article etc. What matters is that I did it.

You too, where are you stopping yourself from serving, functioning?

Stop stopping yourself.

Again in Hebrews 11, let's look at the "Heros of Faith."

13-16 Each one of these people of faith died not yet having in hand what was promised but still believing.

How did they do it? They saw it way off in the distance, waved their greeting, and accepted the fact that they were transients in this world.

I can bet you that alot of people can't stand dying today without having that car, house, promotion, etc. It doesn't matter.

What will matter is if you can function wherever you find yourself. Are you impacting lives?

We blame people for many things. However, we forget that even if everything is perfectly aligned, we will still stop ourselves because it is human to do so.

It is divine to break the circle and do what you are designed to be. One way to achieve this is to invite God into your heart and consciously live recognizing that you arent living for yourself but for Him.

Place Your Life Before God

Romans 12:1-2

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God.

You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

What are you truly living for?
