9-5 isn’t a Curse: Here is what they aren't telling you
Before you quit your job, I want you to know that 9-5 isn't modern slavery. True slavery is the inability to decide where you want to be in the future, either as an entrepreneur or a worker.
It's not everyone's purpose to become an Entrepreneur. Yes, you heard me, and this might break your heart.
Ever heard, "Many are called, few are chosen."
Lately, I realized that some folks are very comfortable working their 9-5 without any hassle. They are very skilled, professional; they can scale your business from what it is to what it should be, and all they want is their paycheque. Simple.
Depending on their strength, zeal, passion, and goal, becoming entrepreneurs might limit them from achieving consolidated plans.
We fail to realize that not everyone is having a messy workplace experience as you did. There are many good places to work out there. You aren't aware of them, or you cannot navigate your way to such a place.
Note;
It's not everyone who currently owns a house in their name that's an entrepreneur.
It's not everyone who clears their debt that's an entrepreneur.
It can only be done by careful planning and staying focused on your purpose.
75% of startups fail not because society doesn't like them but because they lack what it takes to sustain their businesses. Often, we are in a hurry to tag/re-title ourselves as an entrepreneur unknown; the title doesn't pay the bills.
Some people sell "Be your Boss" unknown that you need to learn what it takes to be a servant before you become a leader.
Any leader who hasn't served becomes another toxic boss everyone hates. You can be your boss even while working for someone by championing yourself for success and becoming the go-to for anything/everything.
How you run another man's business will determine how you will run your own business (if you end up having one).
Have you ever looked into the lives of these gurus and millionaires who are advising you to quit your job? A lot of them come with a wealth of knowledge from different industries. Some had safety nets and wouldn't tell you because you are just another target for their course/sales.
Regardless of their status today, they didn't just wake up to start their own business overnight. It was an accumulated level of hard work and genius.
Let me ask you;
Are you already a genius in your field of practice?
Have you acquired all the knowledge you need to champion your next gig?
Can you float a business by yourself alone?
Can you go for 5months without profit, and you get to pay your bills smiling?
If your answer is no, then don't be in a hurry. The best thing anyone can do is while working 9-5; if you want, you can try to set up a side business to nurture it gradually and transition into it full time in the future.
Rome wasn't built in a day; anyone who promises you such has placed a bet on your head in the gladiator's match. Be careful.
